Gregory S. Bentley, Bentley Systems, Incorporated

Gregory S. Bentley has been CEO of Bentley Systems since 2000, President since 1995, and Chairman of the Board since 1994. When he joined his four founding brothers at Bentley Systems in 1991, the company had 35 employees. Today Bentley Systems, Inc., with 1500 employees and annual revenues of more than $240 million, is the largest dedicated global provider of software for the creation, management and publishing of AEC (architecture, engineering and construction) content.

Prior to 1991, Mr. Bentley founded and served as CEO of Devon Systems International, Inc., a provider of financial trading software. In 1987, that company was acquired by SunGard Data Systems, Inc. SunGard (NYSE: SDS) is one of the world’s largest IT vendors and is among the S&P-500.; Mr. Bentley is a member of SunGard’s Board of Directors and is Chairman of its Audit Committee. Mr. Bentley earned a bachelor’s degree in Decision Sciences in 1976 and a M.B.A. in Finance in 1977 (Summa Cum Laude with General Honors) from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
